2. Data we collect

Information you give us

When you use our consultation or contact form, or email us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, company, email address, phone number, the project or enquiry details you share, and any files you choose to attach.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website we automatically receive certain technical data — your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and interactions, and similar usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools. This helps us operate, secure and improve the site.

3. How and why we use it

We only use your personal data for specific purposes, each with a legal basis under the GDPR:

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies that are necessary for the website to function, and — with your consent — analytics tools (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) that help us understand how the site is used and improve it. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and change your choice at any time, through the cookie settings on the site. Declining non-essential cookies does not affect essential functionality.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary, with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract — for example our website platform and hosting provider (Weblium), our email provider, and our analytics providers (Google, Microsoft). These providers may only use the data to provide their service to us and are bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR — such as European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your data.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Enquiry and contact data is kept for as long as necessary to respond and manage our relationship with you; where a project or contract follows, related records are kept for the duration of the engagement. Data we must keep for legal or accounting reasons is retained for the period required by law (for accounting records, up to 5 years). Analytics data is retained according to the relevant cookie and tool settings.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”), where applicable;
  • Request restriction of processing;
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • Request data portability;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@3D-engineering.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian supervisory authority, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija) — www.dvi.gov.lv.

9. Security & confidentiality

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Client project data is handled under EU data jurisdiction and, where agreed, under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Access to personal and project data is limited to those who need it to do their work.

10. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
